I came across this post, "Time Management for Bloggers with Babies" on BlogCoach and it got me thinking. Is blogging more often (or blogging less often) part of your New Year's resolutions?

I think I'll have to add "blogging more efficiently" to my own list. Where does the time go when blogging and blog hopping?

Let us know if blogging is part of your New Year's resolutions in the comments on this post. You may inspire fellow baby blog addicts or get inspiration for your own New Year's resolutions regarding blogging.

Best Winter Gloves/Mittens for Children

We know some Baby Blog Addict readers live in a climate where gloves or mittens are an absolute necessity during the fall and winter months. But here at BBA headquarters in Central Florida we don't know about such things. It was in the 80's today.

If you're dealing with bundling up the kids every day, here's a look at some gloves/mittens that will not only keep the hands of your baby, toddler and pre-schooler snuggly and dry but they also will stay on and you won't end up with just one glove.

Blog Hopping: Stuck in the Bathroom!

By Shera Wheeler
BBA Contributor

Grayden got himself stuck in the bathroom today. He went in, shut the door, and opened the bottom drawer so that no one could get in. He was having all sorts of fun in there. We tried to close the drawer with a pencil...Then we tried telling him to shut the drawer, but seeing as he is one-year-old, he did not listen to us. He thought it was so much fun. He kept peeking through the little hole. Luckily, he accidentally bumped the drawer with his knee and it closed.

Global Trend: Baby Names of Barack and Obama

By his own description, Barack Obama was "a skinny kid with a funny name," but that isn't stopping proud parents from Romania to Indonesia from naming their newborns after the U.S. president-elect.

Romania's downtrodden Gypsies -- once enslaved, like African Americans, yet still struggling to overcome deep-seated prejudice -- seem particularly inspired.

Blog Hopping: Toilet Fun

By Diana Stacey
BBA Contributor

Something happened tonight that is so funny and gross I just have to share it. We were having our "Game Night" like normal and when we do, Davis gets to play his games on the PlayStation while we play Rockband or Little Big Planet on the PS3.

Anyway, Davis is still going through the whole potty training thing. He just gets so busy doing something fun we have to make him stop and go potty. Well tonight was no different, so I sent him in to the bathroom to make sure he didn't have a accident. I peeked in on him because he was taking a little too long and what do you think I found?!? Well, I found Davis with his head IN THE TOILET! He actually had his head in the bowl and when I asked him what he was doing he rubbed his nose and I noticed it was wet. He had put his head so far in that his face got wet in the PEE WATER!!!!

What was my child doing you ask? Well the only thing I can figure is he was trying to blow the bubbles in the toliet to get rid of them (he loves bubbles). Now I feel like it isn't safe to leave him alone in the bathroom anymore! And yes I washed his face and hands REALLY, REALLY WELL!!!!! Oh the little thrills of being a parent!

Advertisement: Saving Money Without Compromising Your Child's Health

In this economy, everyone is looking for ways to save money. One of the hardest decisions a mother can make is how to cut costs without compromising what is best for her baby. Parents can be conflicted when they see a shelf full of different formulas at the store. Is it really okay to purchase the cheaper formula for my baby?

Of course, mother's milk is the safest and best option for babies. But if a parent chooses to formula feed, a store-brand formula is just as good as a name-brand formula. The FDA has strict regulations ensuring that all baby formula meets the same nutritional standards. Yet store brand formulas are as much as half the price of the national brands.

So, the best baby formula for your little one may also be the cheapest. Store brand formulas can be found at retailers such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Kroger, and Walgreens. To learn more about baby formula and earn a coupon to your favorite local retailer, visit BabyFormulaQuiz.com.

BBA News

By Scott
BabyBlogAddict.com

As we near the end of 2008, Jennifer and I would like to thank you, the loyal Baby Blog Addict readers, for allowing us to achieve unprecedented growth during the first half of our second year. We now reach about 20,000 Baby Blog Addicts each month!

What started in mid-2007 as an idea on our front porch over a couple of Corona's quickly turned into a venture that, along with my full-time job, Jennifer's online business Jackaroos Boutique and an active three-year-old, keeps us quite busy. But we wouldn't do it if we didn't enjoy it.

The site isn't always updated every night, but we devote as much time to it as we can. We make every effort to post new, interesting items Sunday-Thursday and take a break on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes unforeseen events disrupt that schedule, but we usually stick to it. That being said, we're taking a Christmas break from Dec. 18-27.

We hope you'll continue to spread the word about our site and help us grow even more in 2009. In the coming months, we plan to redesign BabyBlogAddict.com to make it more entertaining, informative and interactive. We also will introduce new advertising options.

We started accepting advertising on BBA in June and the response has been great. We currently have seven advertisers in our right sidebar and our first "sponsored post" will appear tomorrow morning. If you're a mompreneur or have a business that caters to babies or toddlers, we invite you to check out our advertising options and let us work for you.

If there is something you'd like to see more of (or less of) on BBA, please let us know. Our e-mail address is babyblogaddict[at]yahoo.com.

Thanks for a great 2008!

Holiday Photos: Good Ones and Rejects

Here are a few pictures we've already received from BBA readers. These are great - both funny and adorable! Send us your Santa pictures and holiday photo cards, including "rejects," too. We'll post as many as we can over the next few weeks.

"Here are our Christmas Card pictures. Rejects will come when we go visit Santa!"
-Jen Jordan (Jordan Triplets)

"Since we moved to Colorado I have wanted a snow picture Christmas card. Kayden does nothing but cry in the snow. The day after Thansgiving we had beautiful white snow and I got them dressed and brought them outside to try a quick picture. As soon as I put him down he sticks his hands in the snow to put it in his mouth and then did nothing but cry because his hands were cold. Kind of funny!" - Shannon

"We stood in line, he waved to Santa, told us Santa said "HO, HO, HO" and we thought maybe just maybe he would smile for a pic. No chance!!!!"
-From the Mommy who really did not want to be in the picture either!!! Robin Villarreal
