Babies Can Cause 'Momnesia'

Momnesia — the mental fuzziness and memory lapses that set in shortly after childbirth. Scientists agree that momnesia exists. While researchers say they can't explain all the ways motherhood affects a woman's memory, they agree there's a pattern.

Isn't it comforting just knowing that we are not crazy or alone. I personally think momnesia actually sets in during pregnancy (way before childbirth) and I bet my husband would agree.

Yeah, my Ithaca friends called it placenta brain before birth... they didnt' warn me about post partum. It's really bad! What's even worse... now that Libby is in the twos and talking more, I catch myself talking like a TWO YEAR OLD! "cow say moo". fun fun.

it's nice to know other people have it. i prided myself on being a very organized type of person before becoming a mom. now i feel like i would forget my head if it wasn't attached.
