We're back at it in the twitter world; you can check it out at the top of the left sidebar. You'll need flash to see it. Just like the e-mail or reader subscription to Baby Blog Addict, you can easily follow our twitter feed as well. We can't guarantee it'll be anything exciting, but we'll give it a shot again and see what happens.

Our Twitter page is www.twitter.com/babyblogaddict. The Baby Blog Addict RSS feed will also run through twitter, so the content that appears on the main site will also show up in the twitter feed.

As we near the end of 2008, Jennifer and I would like to thank you, the loyal Baby Blog Addict readers, for allowing us to achieve unprecedented growth during the first half of our second year. We now reach about 20,000 Baby Blog Addicts each month!

What started in mid-2007 as an idea on our front porch over a couple of Corona's quickly turned into a venture that, along with my full-time job, Jennifer's online business Jackaroos Boutique and an active three-year-old, keeps us quite busy. But we wouldn't do it if we didn't enjoy it.

The site isn't always updated every night, but we devote as much time to it as we can. We make every effort to post new, interesting items Sunday-Thursday and take a break on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes unforeseen events disrupt that schedule, but we usually stick to it. That being said, we're taking a Christmas break from Dec. 18-27.

We hope you'll continue to spread the word about our site and help us grow even more in 2009. In the coming months, we plan to redesign BabyBlogAddict.com to make it more entertaining, informative and interactive. We also will introduce new advertising options.

We started accepting advertising on BBA in June and the response has been great. We currently have seven advertisers in our right sidebar and our first "sponsored post" will appear tomorrow morning. If you're a mompreneur or have a business that caters to babies or toddlers, we invite you to check out our advertising options and let us work for you.

BBA Writers Update

We've had a few people express an interest in writing for Baby Blog Addict and hopefully we'll have some material from them in the next couple of weeks. We would still like to add more writers to our stable, so if you're interested e-mail us. We're only looking for a post per week or every other week, so the time requirement would be minimal.

Write for Baby Blog Addict!

BabyBlogAddict.com is growing and looking for a few good contributors. If you're a Baby Blog Addict and would like to write for one of the Blogosphere's most interesting websites, e-mail us right away. This unpaid but very prestigious position(s) would require one or two posts every couple of weeks. That's it. The writer would get credit on the story and, if they have one, a link back to their website.

Whether it's parenting challenges, funny stories, advice, product reviews or a great website you came across, write about it and we'll post it. Length is determined by the writer.

We're working on a project about Baby Blogs and how they've grown over the past few years. We want to hear your thoughts on the Baby Blog phenomenon -- write as much or as little as you'd like.

Baby Blog Addict Forum Reopens

We've reopened the Baby Blog Addict Forum. In an attempt to keep it spam-free, we are requiring you to log in to view and comment on it. If you already registered in the past, your log in information is still the same. If not, you will need to register a new account which is really easy.

The forum is a great resource to ask other parents for advice and share parenting tips you've learned along the way.

New Year, New Look

Welcome to the brand new Baby Blog Addict! We thought since we're at the beginning of a new year, it was time to spruce things up around here a bit. Look around, check things out and let us know what you think in the comments below. The redesign is still a work in progress, so your feedback is welcome. Among the improvements so far: a new logo, search box and subscription service. We've also widened the page to three columns (let us know if you have any viewing problems).

In the next few weeks, you'll see some great new ads and more parenting tips, humor and baby news. Stay tuned!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The past year has been amazing. We launched BabyBlogAddict.com with this post in May (logging 360 posts in 7 1/2 months), moved our family to Florida in August and watched our son turn two in October, and we've managed to chronicle it all on our personal Baby Blog (logging 253 posts on our own baby blog in 2007).

We've had the pleasure of following so many pregnancies, which turned into births announcements, which turned into baby milestones throughout the year...all because BABY BLOGS exist. I'm sure I added another 30+ baby blogs to my favorites list throughout the year. How about you?

Here's to another year of following the lives of family, friends and strangers (a.k.a. "blog friends") on Baby Blogs...and to another year of parenting advice, blog tips, humor, headlines and reader interaction on BabyBlogAddict.com.
