For starters, there’s iTeddy, a teddy bear with a built-in video player. It can also be used to view pictures and is, of course, huggable. Creepily, you have to pull up iTeddy’s shirt to see the video screen, which will teach kids that taking off their friends’ shirts can only result in fun times. The price? $79.99 at Target.
I came across this great Fleurville Seconds Sale on Hip Mama's Place. I love the Fleurville diaper bags, but they are pricey.

Francinne Cascio Lawrence does a great job of making the book a fun, easy read that has eight quick recipes mixed in. Angel Pasta Nirvana
While your little angel is napping, sear a couple of chicken breasts and cut them into cubes. They will keep nicely in the refrigerator until you’re ready to prepare the rest of the dish. If you prefer to go vegetarian, chop up a few of your favorite fresh vegetables in place of the chicken. Some of my favorites for this recipe are zucchini, squash, and carrots.
As dinner time approaches and you have found another break from parent duty, melt the ½ cup butter in a skillet. Add the chicken or veggies and sauté them along with the mushrooms onions and garlic. When your cherub takes wing to for the night, you’ll be just minutes away from experiencing Angel Pasta Nirvana!
Ingredients
10 oz angel hair pasta
¼ c olive oil
½ c butter or margarine
4 large cloves garlic
1 medium onion
½ c sweet red bell pepper
¼ c dried parsley flakes
½ c dry white wine
8 medium mushrooms; sliced, sautéed
½ c Parmesan Cheese
8 ounces of poultry or 2 cups of fresh mixed vegetables depending on your preference.
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
2. Drain and toss with olive oil.
3. Melt butter in skillet.
4. Add garlic, onion, and mushrooms and sauté until onion is tender. Either fresh vegetables or chicken may be added here to make a rich medley of ingredients.
5. Add sweet pepper, parsley flakes, and white wine.
6. Pour mixture over pasta and toss until blended. Add chicken and cheese.
7. Toss and serve immediately.
Serves 4
Modern Me sells hip clothes for baby, but they have a very unique twist.
Just take a look at their "me tees." Most of the designs have the graphic printed both right side up and upside down. The concept came about when the creator, Melissa, had a conversation with a two year old. She realized that one of the first questions she asks a tot is, "What's that on your shirt?" And so, the 'me tee' was born. When you ask a child about the graphic on his or her shirt, the child can see the graphic right side up from their perspective, when gazing down.

Are baby showers for both parents or just for the new mom?
While most baby showers are traditionally "for women only", coed showers are definitely becoming more popular. Check with the soon-to-be parents for their preference.
Where, When and What do you do at a baby shower?
Baby showers can be given anywhere from a home to a restaurant. Most are held during the day and last for about two to three hours. Activities are always fun for the attendees, including make-your-own onesie and guess the size of my bump.
Once you have decided on all of the details, when do you send the invites?
Be considerate of your guests and give them several (typically four to six) weeks notice to make arrangements to attend and purchase the perfect gift.
Alas, you can relax, the life of a pregnant friend is not that bad!

Should you get a gift for the new parents?
You don’t have to, but if they are close friends and you want to, it’s always VERY much appreciated. The gift can be small such as a 
cute picture frame or comedic parenting book; or more expensive such as a designer diaper bag or a necklace with the baby’s initials. All of these are fabulous baby gifts that the new parents (okay- MOM) will love!

How much should you spend on a new baby gift?
You will want to consider how many gifts you are buying and whether you are throwing the shower? While some baby gifts may be small, they are still costly. Pick a budget and stick with it throughout the course of the next nine months.
When do you give a new baby gift?
This entirely depends on the parents' religious beliefs and customs. If the parents believe it is bad luck to receive a gift prior to the birth, you CANNOT send a gift. However if giving gifts is fair game, you can give a gift at anytime. The only time it is absolutely required for you to give a gift is if there is a baby shower.

Baby Etiquette Week: Day 1 – Your Friend Is Pregnant
While you may not be the one getting larger each month, deliberating on the relative merits of the Bugaboo versus the Stokke and running (wobbling) from OBGYN appointment to Prenatal Yoga, you are still under a lot of pressure. Your friend is pregnant, therefore you need to worry about what gifts to buy, when to give them, how much to spend and how to throw a baby shower. Don’t get overwhelmed, you have nine months to save and plan. You will get through this stressful (ahem wonderful) time.
What are the best new baby gifts?
This is not stressful- anything you buy will be absolutely adorable (everything is cute when it’s that tiny) and will be extremely helpful (most people do not have extra onesies lying around). Your biggest concern should be choosing pink, blue or green (aka gender neutral), the size (3-6 months is key) and what type of cotton (if it’s an eco-friendly baby, opt for organic cotton). New baby gifts for all genders and environmental dispositions are blankets & burp cloths, clothes & shoes, gear (high chairs, strollers, etc), toys or silver collectibles. Many gifts can be personalized with the baby’s name, which adds an extra special touch.

I was at the park the other day and saw a mother pushing a stroller with this cool fan. She received it as a gift and called her friend on the spot to find out where she got it.

I think it really depends on the recipient. If they have a large family and lots of friends who will give them practical, then go for pampering for mom. If not, you may want to stick with practical and the registry.

Throw away the markers for labeling your kids' sippy cups. We have better and cuter options for you. A while back we featured Baby Labels on BBA. Now, here's another way to label your kids' sippy cups.

I was lucky enough to get a copy of the Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of The Beatles CD to review. Rockabye Baby! transforms timeless rock songs into beautiful instrumental lullabies.
I always love to read the "About Us" story for companies like this. The label was born in L.A. out of a "need to make children's music cool - not only for babies but for their parents too." And they have succeeded! I love this CD. I played Disney and classical lullabies for Jack when he was a baby. After a few nights, each of those CDs got a bit old. How cool would it have been to have a few of these Rockabye Baby! CDs to throw into the mix?!
I personally loved the Lullaby Renditions of The Beatles CD with the songs "Yesterday", "Hey Jude" and "Here Comes the Sun" to name a few, but there are so many other CDs that you can sample online and order. In fact, Lullaby Renditions of Green Day, the Rolling Stones and U2 earned 2007 Greatest Product Awards from iParenting Media. Check out their extensive list of albums.
In the past, we've highlighted a few items on BBA that would be practical or unique baby shower gifts like the Pee-Pee Tee Pee (unique...I'm not sure how practical).

If your child goes to daycare or preschool, they will inevitably consume more than their fair share of sweets on Valentine's Day and come home with even more sweets packed in goody bags from all their friends. You might be guilty of contributing to this over-indulgence too by baking cookies, heart-shaped muffins or giving those boxes of sweethearts candy.
How about giving Valentine's Day happies that are not edible on Valentine's Day, but will be a great parent/child project on a future day.

Here's a great last-minute gift idea for babies and toddlers. Order tickets online for an upcoming live show in your area and just wrap a picture of the tour's stars or a stuffed animal or toy of the character.
Here are a few ideas: 
1) Playhouse Disney Live! - Just enter your zip code & select show "Playhouse Disney Live" to find out if they will perform in your area.
2) Sesame Street Live - Search their entire North American tour date list or narrow it down by state.
3) Doodlebops Live - Check out their live concerts through March 2008.

We found these Play Town Sesame Street Licensed Figures at Target, but they are also available on amazon.com for $6.25 for the set. The figures are wooden characters that remind me of Little People.
They make great stocking stuffers and are the perfect size for little toddler hands. It's also an easy toy to throw into your diaper bag or purse to entertain your little one in the car, on a plane or at dinner.
