Toddler Wranglers
Are these "backpack leashes" really effective? I think they make toddlers look too much like dogs, but some people swear by them. They cost about $10 and are available at Target, Walmart and other online retailers.
The Harness Buddy comes in a friendly monkey, bear or dog.

I used to think they were horrible and offensive. Hubby and I swore we would never put our child in one. Well now that I have a 2 1/2 year old and 4 month old twins I broke down last week and bought one. I only have a double stroller and if I'm taking all three of them some place by myself DS#1 gets the monkey backpack while DS#2and DD are in the stroller. I don't feel safe just letting DS#1 walk around without it. He's too prone to exploring. I'm willing to have him look like a dog (in fact that's how I convinced him to wear it yesterday. I told him he was my puppy. He LOVED it)in order to keep him safe.
They work AWESOME for twins!
ESPECIALLY when safety issues are involved!
I don't have them yet, but as a MOM to quads who are almost 2, they look devine!
